Current Board of Directors
Curtis Smith, Chairman
Graduate of FHS
My wife and I are both FHS graduates and parents of two children in the district I am honored to be part of a Foundation that values a great education. Any assistance to our educators goes a long way in providing for our students to ensure a solid education. The technology is changing and funding is stretched, having the ability to assist educators and students to achieving their goals is an honor.

Education and continuous learning have always been important to me. My wife, Kara, and I are both Fairfield graduates. We moved back to Fairfield after 17 years in the Des Moines metro area to raise our son, Kerrick. I am honored to be a member of a foundation providing higher education opportunities and real-time impacts to the learning process.
Dena Morrissey, Treasurer
I was born and raised in Fairfield and chose to move back to raise my children. Technology changes every day. If we want our kids to be able to compete when they graduate, we need to give them the tools to learn, starting in kindergarten. The Education Foundation helps support what teachers and students need to achieve those goals.
Tai Ward
My wife and I, both Fairfield High School graduates, moved back to southeast Iowa a few years ago to raise our two children in a good school district. As a director I have an opportunity to make sure that the future graduates of FHS have access to the resources they need to compete in a dynamic and changing work environment. I look forward to helping them meet their challenges.

As a parent of three children in the Fairfield School District I have a vested interest in facilitating any efforts that give our Educators necessary resources, as well as provide our youth with the tools necessary to succeed. I look forward to promoting the growth opportunities that this Foundation provides.

My husband and I were both raised in Fairfield and attended FHS. After having our daughter, we had the desire to move back to become part of our wonderful community. I'm happy and honored to be part of a foundation dedicated to supporting our local educators and schools with resources and tools that will enhance each child's learning experience.
Lindsay Haskins
Prior to moving to Fairfield I spent nearly ten years in fundraising and development roles. This experience prepared me with a unique perspective on foundations and the important role we play in ensuring educators and students have the resources needed to succeed. As a parent, I truly value the opportunity to make a difference for all children in the district. Brent Jones
Growing up in a family of educators made me keenly aware of the important role both teachers and administrators play in the lives of students and families. I am honored to be a part of a Foundation that supports and draws community awareness to our educators Dan Breen
Having served in the Fairfield district for 35 years, I have an acute awareness of the needs related to educating all of our youth. The Education Foundation plays a significant role in meeting those needs. I feel serving on the board is a small way of giving back for all the contributions made by the Foundation in the past and in the future. Ronda Whitney
I understand the importance of a strong and vibrant school district and with ever changing technology and tighter budgets, it is more important than ever to support our schools. It is an honor to serve on the Education Foundation and a great opportunity to help provide teachers with the tools necessary to give the students in our district the best educational experience possible. |
